Flower Garden - Canna Lily
My Canna Lily Family
It is now Winter here in Central Florida and a few of my Canna Lilies are still blooming! I love my Canna Lilies and have several varieties growing in my flower garden. They are easy to care for. They like the rich moist soil and the full sun. I've tried growing some in the partial shade. They still flourished, grew the big leaves and bloomed some flowers…not as many flowers but still produced the gorgeous flowers.
Here are some pictures of my Canna Lilies.
The President Canna Lily - Red Orange Flowers
The President Canna Lily has huge green leaves and small flowers that are red and orange.
It grows to be about four feet tall.
Grows well in full sun and partial shade. It will still bloom lots of flowers in the shade.
The next set pf pictures are the Pink Sunburst Canna Lily.
They have pink flowers and dark green leaves with shades of purple.
I love the unusual dark leaves that contrast with the pink flowers.
This canna lily grew about three feet tall.
This one prefers full sun. If it is in partial shade, it will still grow the big leaves, but it will bloom fewer flowers.
King Humbert Canna Lily - Yellow Orange Flowers
My King Humbert Canna Lily is my oldest and it grows to be about five feet tall. Almost as tall as me! These were my first canna lilies and my most favorite. The flowers are yellow with a large splash of orange.
This one needs a lot of sun to grow and bloom flowers. If it is in partial shade, it will still grow the big leaves, but it will bloom fewer flowers. It loves the rich moist soil.
Dwarf Picasso Canna Lily - Yellow Flowers
The cute Dwarf Picasso Canna Lily is so easy to grow. The gorgeous flowers are yellow with orange specks.

The Red Dwarf Canna Lily is another cutie that grows well in a pot and grows up to three feet tall.
Salmon Pink Dwarf Canna Lily - Pink Flowers
The Salmon Pink Canna Lily is easy to grow. It’s another cutie that grows well in a pot and can still bloom lots of flowers in partial shade. This beauty grows up to three feet tall.
