A Walk on the Trails
The Trees of Central Florida
What a tree! I love looking closely at the trees along the trails. Of course, it's always good to look up anyway. Right? Look up at how high the trees grow to the sky. Inspect their bark, their leaves, and find their seeds. In wonderment and awe, just think of how something from a small seed grows into something so big. All the right living conditions - water, soil nutrients, air, and temperature help it thrive and grow year after year. Imagine the strength and resilience to the winds, storms, bugs, and diseases and it keeps living on. Live like a tree!
Central Florida has other types of trees besides the famous palm trees, cypress trees, and palmetto trees. I want to introduce you to some of the other wonderful types of trees we have. We also have pine trees, oak trees, willow trees, myrtle trees, sycamore trees and so many other types.
Here is a gallery of pictures of one of the sycamore trees. The trunk, branches, and leaves. I can’t say how tall or wide it is, but it is huge and provides a lot of shade here in sunny Florida. I love this tree!
