On the Trails

A Walk on the Trails

Good Things Will Happen

Today is a world full of good things that will happen. All because people choose to make them happen.

Inspiration drives those choices. A walk on the trails is a great way to get inspiration and be inspired to choose and to do something good.

Barred Owl

Barred Owl

Something was watching me!  I happened to look up and those big eyes were staring right at me.  The Barred Owl! After about a half an hour of staring at me and sound of the clicking of my camera, it turned its body with its back to me.  Like it was annoyed and didn’t want any more pictures taken. “Ok, then.” I said. I stopped taking pictures and lowered my camera. But then it rotated its head and looked back at me once more before it silently swifted up and away.  Not a hoot.  Not a sound. No sound of the flutter of the wings or feathers.  Left me still standing there staring at the empty branch, stunned and amazed!

On a walk among the living things in Nature,

  • Be inspired and begin to envision and fulfill the best of possibilities.

  • Be inspired by the opportunities for improvement in your life, personal and professional.

  • Be inspired to create your own unique goodness.

Oakworm Moth

I discovered this Oakworm Moth one afternoon along the trail. Its beautiful color among the green leaves caught my eye and I thought it was a butterfly.   But it was a moth. Yep, not all moths are plain brown and only fly at nighttime.  Moths can be colorful and are beautiful too!

On a walk with Nature around you,

  • Let go of the excuses.

  • Let go of your hesitation to step forward.

  • And say yes to life, to richness, to inspiration.

The Banana Spider - Golden Silk Orb Weavers

Along one of the trails, I discovered a banana spider wrapping its prey caught in its web. I took a closer look and the unfortunate flyer caught in the web was a swallowtail butterfly.

The banana spiders are also known as the "Golden Silk Orb Weavers".  Most spiders are plain, brown, and creepy but I've never seen the banana spider until I walked along these trails.  They don't hide in dark corners like the brown creepy spiders. They spin their webs out in the open between branches and trees. And their web shimmers like gold in the sunlight. Their colorfulness and their gold silk web makes you want to take a closer look.

Nature is amazing!

On a walk along the trails in Nature,

  • Be open to inspiration and act with courage to follow where it leads.

  • Have fortitude, endurance, and perseverance and you will find the solutions.

Life is a continuous adventure,

continue to be inspired over and over again,

and the journey will be beyond the world

that is to the best of what can be.

Life is a continuous adventure, continue to be inspired over and over again, and the journey will be beyond the world that is to the best of what can be.
