Wine and Wood Sorrel

Wine and Wood Sorrel

Time to take a break, have a seat, take a walk. Have a moment to yourself. Have a moment to relax, be at ease.

Think of what is important and dismiss what is minute and irrelevant.

Here is an easy beverage to make that is delicious, fruity, and refreshing. It's a red wine spritzer.

Enjoy this spritzer and take a walk or have a seat in the garden.

Here is a simple recipe for a Red Wine Spritzer:

I have a chair on the side by one of the trails, sometimes I just sit, enjoy the nature.

One cool February afternoon, I took a walk and sat in a chair along the trail.   Spring isn't quite here yet.  The days and nights are still cool.   To my surprise, there were beautiful flowers blooming on the wood sorrel along the trail. I didn't plant them. I didn't nurture them. I didn't water them. I didn't give them any love or attention. Like I do with my garden.

Violet Flowers of the Wood Sorrel

“There they are.  The wood sorrow is blooming beautiful flowers. I was able to enjoy something that I didn't work so hard for.

White Flowers of the Wood Sorrel

“This is a gift. A gift from nature, a gift from the Lord, or maybe just a gift.

Simply a gift to just smile and know that there is joy when there is beauty. Be happy at the beauty.”

Not everything needs to be worked hard on, touched, tended to, for something to go right.

Things can go right on their own.

Give it time.

Pay attention.

Respect its place.

Be at awe in its unique beauty.

A moment to relax,

sip the wine spritzer,

enjoy nature,

and the gift of the wood sorrels.
